                           Stuffed Figs with Goat Cheese

  I made this recipe because we had friends coming over and my mom told me to make          something out of figs and goat cheese. I looked on the computer and found a recipe for 
 Stuffed Figs with Goat Cheese. https://toriavey.com/toris-kitchen/stuffed-figs-with-goat-  cheese/  I altered the recipe because I didn't have fig honey.

                       

     Recipe: 

12 Fresh Figs
4 oz Soft Goat Cheese
1 tsp. Olive Oil
Freshly Ground Pepper
1 tsp. Salt
1/4 cup Honey
1 Tbs. Date Syrup (Optional)
2 tsp. Lemon Juice1 tsp. Water





     Instructions:


 1. Preheat oven to Broil. (550* F) Take figs, trim of the stems, and cut X in them. Arrange them on a baking pan lined with, preferably, a silicone mat, if not, just use cooking spray. If the figs don't stay upright, you can shave off a little but of the bottom.



 2. Next fill a plastic bag, or piping bag with goat cheese. Cut off the tip of the bag and evenly divide the goat cheese evenly between the 12 figs.


 3. Now lightly brush the figs with olive oil, and sprinkle with salt, and a large amount of freshly ground black pepper.

 
4. Broil the figs until they reach your desire of tenderness. (About 5 min) During this time you should start the syrup. In a small pot, combine the honey, date syrup, water, and lemon juice. Set on lowest heat and keep it there, occasionally stirring, to prevent the mixture boiling.


 5. By this time your figs should be ready to take out of the oven. range figs however you would like them pour on hot syrup, and serve right away.

fried carrot sticks with yogurt tahini




Ingredients: 

  • Carrots
  • salt/pepper
  • tahini
  • yogurt
  • olive oil


Directions: Take a medium sized pan heat up a tea spoon of olive oil on it. Then ad the cut up carrot sticks.



The carrot sticks frying in the frying pan.


The tahini sauce. Mix the yogurt in with the tahini. Add a little water if needed.

Molten Chocolate Cakes

HERE   you can find the recipe that I used.


This is me putting the yolk in the bowl separate from the 
egg whites. 

This is when I am mixing the butter in with the chocolate.

This is what I should not have done, I accidentally mixed in the egg whites with the egg yolk. To fix it take a spoon and fish it out.

Stir the chocolate in with the egg sugar and salt mixture.

Pour the chocolate into the ramekins. 

Right after they come out of the oven.

flip them over on plates.

Optional: Put decorations on top.(Chocolate covered  strawberry.)

Sunny-Side Up


Ingredients:

  • oil
  • one egg
  • paprika
  • salt
  • peper
  • cheese
  • bread crumbs   

Instructions

  1. warm up a frying pan with oil
  2. crack an egg (I crack it into a bowl so no shell gets in, but if you're really good you can crack it directly into the pan)
  3. fry until is almost ready
  4. sprinkle the other ingredients

Yummy Pastry





My mom bought this treat in Vanille Cafe



I tried it and I really liked it.  It tasted like creamy chocolate and chocolate paste! :) 



I hope she buys it again!:) 


Roasted Cauliflower with Yogurt-Tahini Sauce

My mom asked me to make something out of Cauliflower so I looked in cook books but I could not find anything that I liked. So I asked my mom if I could make up a recipe from my head.  She said yes.  That is how I figured out this recipe.

ingredients for cauliflower

  • 2 tbsp olive oil 
  • one head of cauliflower cut up
  • 1 minced garlic clove
  • 1 tsp of paprika
  •  1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp chopped green onion 
  • 2 tbsp chopped parsley
  • 1/3  cup Italian cheese

directions

  1. Add oil to pan and heat it up.
  2. Put cauliflower in pan and roast for 5 minutes.
  3. Add garlic, pepper, salt, paprika, green onion and parsley and roast until the cauliflower is soft.
  4. Put in cheese and serve!

ingredients for Yogurt-Tahini Sauce

  • 2 tbsp Greek yogurt (or any plain yogurt)
  • 2 tbsp tahini (that's ground sesame seed paste)
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice 
  • 1 tbsp water
